Chefs, you may have noticed a change in the Salad app. Starting today, we have decided to temporarily hide the Estimated Earnings field. We wanted to explain why we did this and what our plans are for the future of this feature.
We are currently rolling out an improved version of our miner job to our Chefs. For those unaware, miner jobs are what Salad will run when you’ve opted into crypto jobs, and will occur when there are no other jobs on the network. This has several advantages, such as running within our container environment so that it does not conflict with any Anti-Virus software on a Chef’s machine. The downside is that it currently doesn’t work with the way we calculate Estimated Earnings. So, we are re-tooling the way Estimated Earnings will function and, in a few weeks, this feature should work with all job types on Salad – and be much more reliable to boot.
In the meantime, you can still utilize the 24-hour historical earning count in the app. Additionally, you can view the rest of your historical earning data on our web app to see how your machine is performing.
We appreciate your patience while we resolve this issue, and we look forward to bringing you a new and improved version of our Estimated Earnings feature as soon as possible.
