Show Your Chops with New Salad Achievements

We’re excited to introduce Achievements to Salad—a new way to showcase your stats and track your progress while you monetize your PC’s idle resources. Whether you’ve been Chopping since day one or you’re just getting started, Achievements illustrate your tenure in the Kitchen (and beget bragging rights to boot).

What Are Salad Achievements?

Achievements are badges you’ll unlock by reaching key milestones while using Salad. Currently, they’re purely cosmetic, designed specifically to let you show off your progress and dedication to the Kitchen.

Here’s a taste of the types of Achievements you can unlock:

• Chopping Milestones – Hit certain total hours of Chopping.
  
• Redemption Goals – Redeem a set amount of rewards from the Salad Storefront.
  
• Star Chef Streaks – Maintain Star Chef status for a period of time.

While these categories comprise the majority of Achievements as of today, we’ll be adding more over time pending your feedback and further exploration from the Kitchen team.

We want to make Achievements truly reflective of the Salad community, and that’s where you come in. If you’ve got a great idea for a new Achievement or challenge, drop it in the #feedback channel of our community Discord. Your input will help shape the next wave of Achievements.

Community Art Contests

We’re also giving creative Chefs a chance to pitch their own vision for several existing (and perhaps future) Salad Achievements. We’re holding an art contest soon, where you can submit custom artwork for Achievements—and if your design is chosen, it will become part of the official Salad experience. Keep an eye on the Salad Discord server for contest details and announcements.

What’s Cookin’ in the Kitchen?

So, what’s the next signature dish we’re cooking up in the Kitchen? If you attended State of Salad Episode 218, you got a chance to participate in shaping our next flagship feature: The Salad API. We hope to empower Chefs with access to powerful information and functionalities via our upcoming API.
